My wife and I had a great time in Brown County and enjoyed our stay at the Friends O’Mine Campground and Cabins. First I would say your hospitality and friendliness was second to none. Always a wave and smile for us as we walked or drove by. It’s a simple thing but an important one. Thank you. I am a small business owner myself and can appreciate your efforts in improving yours. Its obvious you take great pride in the place and doing things to improve it as you are able. Here are just a few things that stuck out to me that might be improvements for you to consider and some positives we really enjoyed.
Pool is not super appealing to us. Water seemed fine but it was not real inviting. Most of us campers don’t travel with lounge chairs and it would be nice to have some at the pool. The pool is also just kind of out there on the main drag without any privacy, You could consider some shrubs or privacy fence so everyone hanging out at the pool is not on display for everyone who drives by on the lane.
The sewer waste pipe on our side was coming out of the ground on angle is very close to the ground. It was hard to get my adapter screwed into it as it ground got in the way of turning it.
We loved the lake and the wildlife around it.
We loved acoustical concert on Saturday night and sitting around the fire pit area.
Firepits on the sites are fine just not that attractive.
Highway noise, while it may bother some people it really did not affect my time. I think anything you do to buffer it or add privacy is a good thing though.
We enjoyed the close proximity to the winery across the street and the Hard Truth distillery and restaurant and the park.
