Rating: *****
Stay length: 2 nights
Reason: Eclipse viewing
Rates: Reasonable! No price gouging for the big event.
Site: termed a "buddy" site, no problem with our teardrop/canopy setup. One neighbor had an A frame, other side was a much larger unit. Enjoyed the sociability of both parties of campers.
Facilities: no bath/shower in our tiny teardrop, so the clean showers, hot water and restrooms were much appreciated.
Management: pleasant check in experience, thoughtful guidance to site, trash pickup and general maintenance of the campground is outstanding.
Other comments: lake is lovely, little trail around it a pleasant stroll. Pool not open of course in April but would be a nice summer option. Close to Nashville and park. Brewery/winery right across the road. Speaking of the road, traffic noise is inevitable. It's the ONLY negative and not controllable by the campground management. Concluding on a positive note, however, we've been camping for decades. Wish all campgrounds were as nice as this one.
